What people are saying about The Hounds...

Melodic! Powerful! Bittersweet! Raunchy!
Those four words very well describe the music of
The Maudlin Hounds. Inspired by many styles stretching
from blues, folk and country music via 60’s pop to classic
rock and metal, The Hounds swings their musical doors
wide open. Nevertheless, what it all boils down to is
hard rock ‘n’ roll with a “pop” feel to it.
The Maudlin Hounds way of pulling it off.

You guys are addictive and what a great hook! Bring On The Band is an outstanding tune-- stuck
in my head, too, and that's a great thang. I love everything about this song-- you guys have a
"Cars-y" excitement goin' on here, IMO. Great vocals and melody, bridge and chorus. Arrangement
and structure are solid-- mixed perfectly. Congrats on your AOTM selection!
Wonderful to have you here!

Mixposure would like to congratulate The Maudlin Hounds for being our Mixposure July Artist of the
Month. This band has some very catchy tunes with amazing hooks. Their music is fresh and in my
personal opinion, some of the best music I have heard on the internet. Why do I think it is some of
the best? Because I have always felt that a great tune leaves you wanting more and is memorable
enough that you hear it in your head all day long. Do you remember the first time you heard Led
Zeppelin's Kashmir, Photograph by Def Leppard, Drops of Jupiter by Train or anything by the Beatles?
These songs simply had staying power. There was something in these songs that always stood out
that made it memorable. The Maudlin Hounds write music much in the same way. There is something
that sticks out in their music that makes you take notice.
Congratulations you guys, you deserve it!

Absolutely awesome and well deserved! You guys rock!!! I remember when I featured you as the
Mixposure Center Stage artist. Awesome then and awesome now. Much success and I hope, all
is going well for the release of your next album!
       * Cheers, Mike -
